Jeffrey Goldstein is a senior advisor and a member of the investment committee of Canapi and a senior advisor emeritus at Hellman & Friedman LLC., a private equity firm. He served as a managing director at Hellman & Friedman from 2004 to 2009 and from 2011 to 2016 and a senior advisor from 2016 to 2019.

From 2009 to 2011, Jeffrey served as Under Secretary of the Treasury for Domestic Finance and Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury. In that role, he advised the Secretary on policy issues related to the U.S. banking and financial systems, regulatory reform, financial stability, U.S. housing finance, management of the U.S. Government portfolio of investments in financial institutions and auto companies and related economic and financial matters. Before Hellman & Friedman, Jeffrey served as managing director and chief financial officer of the World Bank.

Jeffrey serves on the board of directors of Bank of New York Mellon Corporation and Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (FIS). He was formerly a director of Westfield Corporation, LPL, Edelman Financial, AlixPartners and Arch Capital and an advisory board member of Grosvenor.

Jeffrey earned his Ph.D., M.Phil., and M.A. in economics from Yale University, his B.A. in economics from Vassar College and attended the London School of Economics.
